Radio stationUnique State 96 FM

The idea of establishing a local radio program was born before 1980, with the aim of initially serving those unable to attend cultural, educational, and religious events of worship or others.

With the issuance of the relevant law on local radio, the Brotherhood of Monks was among the first in Greece to apply and received from the competent Radio-Television Council in March 1991 the relevant Certificate of Legal Operation, for broadcasting on 96 FM megacycles.

Since then, there has been continuous broadcasting with a 24-hour radio program, with live shows, retransmissions, and under the name “Monadiki Politeia” which means “Unique State” 96FM Stereo.

Today it is also available via the internet with simultaneous streaming of the entire program internationally, for every Greek speaker. The radio program does not broadcast advertisements or political news, only matters of urgent need when they arise, related to civil protection.
